FreiFunk Howto

Start by downloading the FreiFunk Firmware.

Upload the Firmware to your device, using either tftp or the web interface.

The default username is "root" and the password is "admin"

Set up all your Wireless stuff in the Wireless menu.
Remember, that if you set it up as a client, it is NOT a bridge. You will have to do routing.

Set up all the LAN stuff in the LAN menu.

Set up all the WAN stuff in the WAN menu. WAN refers to the Internet Ethernet port on the back of your device. If you want to use it with ADSL/Sentech/iBurst, you will have to install the pppoecd package too!

If you want to use PPPoE over your wireless interface, you will have to SSH into your device, and run these commands:

nvram set pppoe_ifname=eth1
nvram commit
