JAWUG

When this page was originally created, we had not yet experienced the wonders of routerboards, wrap's, and pc based routers. If you are seriously keen on joining Jawug, come and chat to us in our irc channel - irc.jawug.za.net #wnet, and we can then better advise on the right type of hardware for the job! Have a look at http://www.wug.za.net/gallery for images of many of the devices which we use, and how they are designed, assembled, and installed! - Ryder, June 2007

It consists of:

Power over Ethernet Kit

And one of the following Antennas, or without any antenna

14dBi Directional Flat Panel Antenna
The Linksys WRT54G will be built into the Weatherproof Enclosure to look something like this

The 24dBi Directional Grid Antenna looks like this. Its quite a powerful antenna, so it should be more than enough for most applications. This thing isn't very small though.. I'd estimate it at about 1.2m across.
